วันนี้เรามีแผนการสำคัญที่เป็นหัวใจหลักของการมาZermattครั้งนี้เลย นั่นก็คือ ไปแตะยอดเขา Toblerone เอ้ยยย Matterhorn ค่ะ
ไม่รู้ว่าทุกอย่างจะเป็นไปตามแผนการที่เราตั้งใจไว้รึเปล่า มาลุ้นไปด้วยกันนะคะ

วันนี้จะเดินทางไกล ต้องกักตุนอาหาร (ไว้ในท้อง) ให้เยอะๆ
Buffet at the hotel was good. I tried to keep foods as much as I can in my stomach as I had a long way to go today.
เนื่องจากวันนี้ช่วงเย็น เรามีแผนการที่จะนั่งรถไฟกลับซูริคเลย เราจึงจัดการเชคเอ้าท์และฝากกระเป๋าไว้ที่โรงแรมก่อนออกเดินทางไปหา Matterhorn ค่ะ
Today I planned to leave Zermatt and back to Zurich in the evening. So I checked out first and stored my luggage at the hotel since in the morning.

From the hotel which is near the Matterhorn Museum, I walked down the Oberdorfstrasse Street. Until I saw the bridge, crossed the river and walked into Winkelmattenweg Street.
Go straight till it meets the Schluhmattstrasse Street. You will see the cable car station (Zermatt Bergbahnen) on the left hand side.
It takes only 15 minutes from the Museum.

จากตัวโรงแรมซึ่งอยู่แถว Matterhorn Museum เราเดินลงมาตามถนน Oberdorfstrasse จนเห็นแม่น้ำ
เราเดินตรงต่อไปตามแม่น้ำ ข้ามสะพานข้ามแม่น้ำเล็กๆเข้าสู่ถนน Winkelmattenweg แล้วก็เดินตรงมาเรื่อยๆจนบรรจบกับถนน Schluhmattstrasse ก็จะเห็นสถานีเคเบิ้ลคาร์ Zermatt Bergbahnen อยู่ทางซ้ายมือค่ะ (ใช้เวลาทั้งหมดประมาณ 15 นาทีค่ะ)
โดยสถานีเคเบิ้ลคาร์นี้จะเปิดให้บริการตั้งแต่ 8.30 เป็นต้นไปถึงห้าโมงเย็นค่ะ แต่ถ้าใครมาหลังสี่โมงเย็นก็อาจจะไม่สามารถขึ้นไปถึงสถานีด้านบนๆได้แล้วนะคะ เพราะเค้าจะไล่ปิดลงมาเรื่อยๆ
The ground station opens from 8.30 am to 4.50 pm. every day. However, If you begin your trip after 4 pm, you may not be able to get to the peak station because the upper station will be started to close around 4 pm.
เมื่อมาถึงแล้วก็ต่อคิวซื้อตั๋วเลยค่ะ อาจเป็นเพราะเรารีบมาตั้งแต่เวลาเริ่มเปิดทำการ จึงยังมีนักท่องเที่ยวไม่ค่อยมาก ส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นพวกที่ขึ้นไปเล่นสกีมากกว่าค่ะ รอแปปเดียวก็ถึงคิวเราแล้ว
ค่าตั๋วเคเบิ้ลคาร์ ก็จะมีราคาที่แตกต่างกันขึ้นอยู่กับสถานีปลายทางที่เราจะลงค่ะ
โดยสถานีปลายทางที่เราจะไปลงได้ก็คือ Matterhorn Glacier Paradise
ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ก็คงซื้อตั๋วไป-กลับกันอยู่แล้วนะคะ เพราะถ้าไม่กลับก็คงได้แข็งเป็นtobleroneอยู่ด้านบน

สถานีสีฟ้าที่เห็นนี้ คือ สถานี Furi
เป็นสถานีแรกถัดจากสถานีด้านล่างค่ะ คนที่ลงสถานีนี้ส่วนใหญ่ก็จะมา trekking หรือพ่อแม่พาเด็กๆมาทัศนศึกษา ปิ้งบาร์บีคิวกันค่ะ เรียกได้ว่าเป็นสถานีครอบครัวสุขสันต์ค่ะ ส่วนในฤดูหนาวที่นี่ก็จะเป็นจุดรวมพลของนักสกีด้วยค่ะ
The gondola was getting higher and higher, up above the little village, passes the second station, Furi.

There is a famous lake on the left hand side of the station (when going up).
If you get off at this station, you can walk to the Schwarzsee Lake which is only 300 metres from the hotel near the station.

โดยหากใครลงที่สถานีนี้ จากตัวโรงแรมใกล้ๆกับสถานี เราสามารถเดินมาทางด้านทิศตะวันตกเพียง 300 เมตร มายังทะเลสาปแห่งนี้ได้ค่ะ
บ้านริมทะเลสาปที่เห็นอยู่ไกลๆนั้น ที่จริงเป็นโบสถ์เล็กๆค่ะ โดยจุดเด่นของทะเลสาปแห่งนี้คือน้ำที่เป็นสีเข้มมากค่ะ เข้มจนได้ชื่อเล่นว่า black see เลย และในเวลาที่น้ำนิ่งนั้น ถ้ามองลงไปยังผืนน้ำ ก็จะสะท้อนภาพของโบสถ์ริมทะเลสาปเหมือนกระจกเลยค่ะ

The white house on the shore is the chapel. As the lake has dark colour, some call the Black See. This is amazing when air is still, then you can see a reflection of the chapel and mountain on the surface of the lake.
Moreover, Schwarzsee is a starting point for climbers who want to conquer the peak of Matterhorn. And after they come back, they will stop at the lake and the chapel to give thanks to the first ascent of 7 persons I told their story yesterday.

ยังไม่หมดเพียงเท่านี้ค่ะ หากท่านลงกระเช้าที่สถานีนี้ ท่านยังจะได้รับสิทธิในการตามรอยเส้นทางแห่งธารน้ำแข็ง (Matterhorn Glacier Trail) ซึ่งสถานีนี้สามารถใช้เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นทางเดิน ผ่าน Hirli ไปจนถึง Trockener Steg ซึ่งจะมีสถานีเคเบิ้ลคาร์อีกสถานีหนึ่งที่จะใช้พาทุกคนขึ้นไปสู่ สถานีบนสุดเช่นเดียวกันค่ะ เราว่าเป็นเส้นทางที่น่าสนใจมากค่ะ

และทันใดนั้น โอ๊ะๆ ยอดแหลมๆนั้นคืออะไร ทำไมคุ้นจัง เหมือนเพิ่งกินไปเมื่อวาน
Shortly, I saw something looked very familiar, but closer and clearer. It's Matterhorn!

Aha! ในที่สุดกระเช้าก็มาหยุดที่สถานี Trockener Steg ซึ่งเป็นสถานีสุดท้ายก่อนจะถึงสถานีปลายทางของเรา
โดยจากสถานีนี้ เราจะต้องเปลี่ยนกระเช้า 1 ครั้ง เป็นกระเช้าขนาดใหญ่เพื่อขึ้นไปยัง Matterhorn Glacier Paradise ค่ะ
ด้วยความที่สถานีนี้อยู่สูงจากระดับน้ำทะเลถึง 2,939 เมตร และห่างจากยอดเขา Matterhorn เพียงแค่ 4 กิโลเมตร นอกจากนี้ทางด้านตะวันตกยังหันหน้าประจัญกับยอดเขา Matterhorn อีกด้วย ซึ่งทำให้ฉากของ Matterhorn ที่อยู่เบื้องหลังนั้นดูกว้างและยิ่งใหญ่ จึงทำให้สถานีนี้เป็นอีกจุดหนึ่งที่ทุกคนจะต้องมาถ่ายรูปคู่กับ Matterhorn ค่ะ
The gondola will end at Trockener Steg Station. To go to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, we need to take another one, which is bigger, from this station to Klein Matterhorn Station.
With the height of 2,939 metres above sea level, and 4 km away from the Matterhorn, we can see the stunning panoramic view of Matterhorn from this station too.

รวมถึงเป็นเส้นทางตามรอยธารน้ำแข็งที่พูดถึงไปก่อนหน้านี้ ซึ่งโดยหลักนักเดินเขาก็จะมาเริ่มต้นที่จุดนี้และเดินลงไปจนถึง Schwarzsee เช่นกันค่ะ
Moreover, this station is famous for skiing and snowboard. And you can hike from this station, follow the glacier trail to Schwarzsee as well. This is very interesting.
จากจุดชมวิวด้านนอก เราต้องเดินเข้าไปในสถานี เพื่อที่จะไปขึ้นกระเช้าอีกจุดหนึ่งที่ใช้รับส่งขึ้นไปยัง Matterhorn Glacier Paradise ค่ะ
To take another gondola to the top, we have to get inside the station and wait for the big red one.
เมื่อมาเปลี่ยนเป็นกระเช้าใหญ่ จึงได้เพื่อนร่วมกระเช้ามากมายเลยค่ะ
The big gondola flies above the glacier.
Very close to the mountain till I could feel the smell of the rock. (How's its smell!?)

Finally, I flew to the top, Klein Matterhorn Station.
This station is ranked to be the highest cable station in a whole Europe, with the height of 3,883 m above sea level.

แต่ยังค่ะ ยังไม่หมดเพียงเท่านี้ เราจะพาทุกคนไปให้สูงกว่านี้ค่ะ เพราะเราเชื่อว่าคนไทยทุกคนบินได้ เอ๊ะ คนละเรื่องแล้วค่ะ

To enjoy more stunning view, we need to go up to the sightseeing point which is my destination.
After getting off the gondola, I walked through an ice tunnel to a lift at the mid of the tunnel.
From the lift, we need to climb a few steps to the sightseeing point.
โอ้วแม่เจ้า เมื่อออกจากลิฟต์มาแล้ว เราก็จะต้องเดินขึ้นไปตามบันไดต่อค่ะและแน่นอน เมื่อขึ้นมาสูงขนาดนี้ อากาศย่อมจะต้องเบาบางลงเรื่อยๆ ดังนั้น การค่อยๆปรับตัวให้ร่างกายเคยชินกับอากาศที่เพิ่มขึ้นหรือลดลงอย่างรวดเร็วจึงเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่ต้องระวังไว้ด้วยเพื่อความปลอดภัยในชีวิตและร่างกายของทุกคนนะคะ
ซึ่งเหตุการณ์นี้ เราเจอมาต่อหน้าเลยค่ะ ในช่วงขาลงกระเช้า มีเด็กฝรั่งคนหนึ่งหมดสติไปต่อหน้าเลยขณะกระเช้ากำลังลงจากสถานีนี้ค่ะ ซึ่งอาจจะเป็นเพราะเพิ่งเล่นสกีมาแล้วร่างกายยังปรับตัวไม่ทัน
แต่พนักงานควบคุมกระเช้าเค้าก็รีบมาปฐมพยาบาลในระหว่างที่กระเช้ากำลังลอยอยู่ระหว่างทางจนเด็กปลอดภัยค่ะ
This's better than mineral water from Alps because it's mineral ice from the Alps. The taste was great, like a snow!
เมื่อขึ้นมาถึงด้านบน เราก็จะพบกับลานชมวิว 360 องศา ที่มองไปทางไหนก็ถูกรายล้อมไปด้วยเทือกเขาหิมะทั้งจากประเทศอิตาลี และสวิส และที่ขาดไม่ได้ก็คือ พระเอกของเรา คุณปู่ Matterhorn ค่ะ
นอกจากนั้น จุดชมวิวแห่งนี้ยังถือเป็นจุดชมวิวทางเคเบิ้ลคาร์ที่สูงที่สุดในยุโรปอีกด้วยค่ะ
แล้วอย่างนี้จะไม่ให้เรียกว่าสรวงสวรรค์ได้ยังไงล่ะคะ
Bingo! I ,finally, arrived at Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. This is the highest sightseeing point in entire Europe which lies 7 km away from the Matterhorn, also surrounded with peaks both from Italy and Swiss.
That is, undoubtedly, why it's called Paradise...

Matterhorn Glacier Paradise นี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของเทือกเขา Breithorn ที่เห็นอยู่ด้านหน้านี้ค่ะ
View from the summit towards Breithorn. In fact, Klein Matterhorn stands on the Breithorn massif.

This place is famous for skiing as it is the largest and highest summer-ski area in a whole Europe, which you can join all year even in summer. Also, it is a part of international ski area from Zermatt to Cervilia in Italy.

เมื่อชื่นชมความงามจากลานด้านบนจนครบ 360 องศาแล้ว เราก็ลงลิฟต์มาด้านล่าง ซึ่งมีอะไรสนุกๆรอเราอยู่
After 30 minutes of seeing 360 degree view, I took the lift down to the snow park in front of the building.

โอ้โห ที่ไหนได้ พี่แกเล่นเหวี่ยงซะห่วงยางหมุนเคว้ง ตัวแทบหลุดออกไปจากภูเขา เกือบได้ข้ามไปฝั่งอิตาลีฟรีค่ะ
No charge for playing. But you need to hold the ring tightly, otherwise you may fly into the sky and fall somewhere in Italy.
แหม ฟังแล้วก็เสียดายที่ไม่ได้แบกสกีมาด้วยนะคะ งั้นคงสกีลงไปเดินมิลานสวยๆ (ถ้าไม่จมหิมะตายก่อนนะคะ)
From here you can take a chair lifts to the slightly higher point for skiing. Alternatively, it is also connected to other point by other chair lifts which offer you many ski routes.
And as it is the international ski area, it is possible to cross to Italy. However, you need to ski to Testa Griglia first, then take a chair lift from Plateau Rosa Station, which links to Breuil-Cervinia Station in Italy.

Inside the building, there is a modern and eco restaurant with a nice view, which also sells souvenirs.

After that, I had to say goodbye to the Matterhorn and took the cable car down.
เมื่อลงมาถึงด้านล่างในช่วงกลางวันแล้ว เรายังมีเวลาเหลืออยู่ค่อนข้างเยอะก่อนที่จะกลับซูริค
ดังนั้น ด้วยความค้างคาใจจากการพลาดการล่องทะเลสาปที่ Interlaken ประกอบกับวันนี้อากาศค่อนข้างดีมาก เราจึงตัดสินใจเปลี่ยนแผนการเดินทางนิดหน่อย
โดยเราจะนั่งรถไฟไปลงที่ Interlaken ก่อน แล้วไปขึ้นเรือล่องไปตามทะลสาป Brienz แล้วจึงค่อยหาทางจับรถไฟจากเมือง Brienz เพื่อกลับไปยังซูริค
Mission พิเศษนี้จะรอดหรือไม่ ต้องคอยติดตามกันต่อไปใน EP.6/2 นะคะ
As I arrived at the village early, I still had much time before going back to Zurich tonight.
An idea of cruising the lake sprang up in my brain then. If any one can remember, I missed the last cruise in the last day at Interlaken. So, I immediately changed my plan to stop at Interlaken first, and take a boat cruise on Lake Brienz, and find somewhere to get off the cruise and catch a train to Zurich then.

ก่อนรถไฟจะมาถึง เรายังมีเวลาเหลือนิดหน่อย พอที่จะไปเดินเที่ยวชมเมือง Zermatt ในวันฟ้าใสอีกสักรอบค่ะ
Before the train comes, I went sightseeing in the bright Zermatt again.
สำหรับเราแล้ว Zermatt เป็นหมู่บ้านเล็กๆที่น่ารักและประทับอยู่ในใจเรามาโดยตลอด ถ้ามีเวลามากกว่านี้ เราคงจะอยู่ต่อเพื่อไป trekking และเที่ยวชมสถานที่ต่างๆให้ละเอียดกว่านี้
สำหรับวันนี้ Life must go on (และ Money is short) เพราะยังต้องไปขึ้นเรือต่อ
แต่เราสัญญากับตัวเองไว้แล้วว่าสักวันหนึ่งจะต้องกลับมาที่นี่อีกให้ได้
For me, Zermatt is such a lovely and peaceful place, with the breathtaking view on the peak. It impresses me so much. If I had more time, I would definitely stay here for a few nights more and go trekking and visiting many places I haven't gone yet.
However, life must go on (and money is short). I still had many cities and places to go.
